Tuesday, December 19, 2006 - For those of you that still have this, you are in for a treat. For $13 on discount and three years aging this is a bargain. Lots of fruit - dark cherry and plum but with a nice complexity and softness that comes with age. Faint brush and herbal hints, fruit still prominent.
Compared this side by side with the 1999 Indian Wells Merlot, which (not surprisingly) was very similar. I would give an edge to the Canoe Ridge. Really pleasant to drink.
