On the palate there's good fruit, tannins are substantial but not intrusive and again notes of chocolate. I found the mid-palate lacking - the wine has a good attack but leaves a void in your mouth after a couple of seconds. Medium finish. Overall a nice wine that went well with the steak, but is a bit disjointed. Drink over the next couple of years.
