Thursday, May 22, 2008 - Loads of oak, cedar, eucalyptus, redwood, pine, ash, birch, cypress, dogwood, elm, fir, hickory, juniper, magnolia, maple to name a few along with a mouthful of pure bold dark berry fruits and vanilla. A bit tannic which is leaving a beautiful chalky coating on the finish. I’m completely in the mood for this type of wine tonight, so it’s not turning me off at all. Bottle is still a baby and needs a good 5 years to mellow out.
