Friday, May 23, 2014 - Popped and poured. Medium purple color. Nose was slightly stewed dark red fruit with hints of licorice, herbal cough drop and smoke. On the palate there were some muted black cherry and dark plum flavors but came across as disjointed and had a thin, short finish. The wine did not improve over the 45 mins or so that it was open and my impression is this wine is going nowhere but down. I would drink up if I was holding any.
