90 Points

Friday, July 18, 2008 - Had last night for dinner at a BYOB. Talk about varietal character, this was a delicious and honest expression of pinot noir. The nose was raspberries and that beautiful funk - barnyard and leather - that so characterizes this grape. The profile was medium bodied with round, soft - but noticeable - tannins, good red fruit at the front of the profile and a medium length finish that had a distinct and lip smacking acidity that held up beautifully to our full flavored meals. I could not stop sniffing this wine all the way through the meal so we stopped in the wine shop and bought another two bottles to bring home.
