Thursday, November 19, 2009 - Tasted 11-8-09. Super Tuscan blend of 35% Syrah, 30% Cabernet Franc, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Deep crimson-garnet hue. Lovely aromatics of sangria-fruit, earth, forest floor, spice. Palate is delightful. Round & full without heaviness. Well knit & balanced thru the attack, midpalate & finish. Mouthfeel is silky & elegant; nothing harsh to be found. Luscious but with enough backbone. Smooth, supple, nice length finish. Built like Bordeaux but still remains somehow Tuscan. Really really nice, can stand alone also. Kept well after opening- added graphite & wood/cedar notes. Should age OK prob. 5+ years. Is drinking well now & don't think it needs more bottle time. Dive in.
