Thursday, September 21, 2023 - The 2019 Barbaresco surprised me – 70% of its grapes are sourced from Il Bricco in Treiso, the other 30% from other Treiso vineyards, and it had this lean, nervy, slightly citric and spicy quality I have found in other Treiso Barbarescos that I’ve tried from other producers (like Giuseppe Nada). Very true to place, and a relative value when compared to the the single-vineyard Barolos.
