Tuesday, February 24, 2015 - This was a fantastic discovery. With red as well as black fruit on the nose, this Fleurie would be difficult to distinguish from a fine Cote Rotie due to its richness and complexity. The nose shows undergrowth as well as fruit, while a spicy and warm palate impression evokes a red limousin-wood cognac. The wine is still young though and will surely benefit from further ageing.
