Decanted one hour at a local restaurant paired with shrimp and filet.
The nose was solid with leather, black currant, and black rasberry. The palate is generous with the fruit flavors but not over ripe. It's an elegant drinking quafer with a medium body, good complexity and soft tannins. The black fruit is nice but the complex smoke and tobacco in the secondary palate intrique. The finish is lacking and a bit on the short side but it does not detract from the palate.
