Sunday, September 11, 2022 - Very nice garnet coloring, immediate burst of fruit smell on the pour into the decanter. Some sediment in bottle. Did not rest long prior to first pour. On the nose, tobacco, cherry, leather, wood shop type of smell. On the tongue Very smooth with some tannin remaining, acidity, black cherry, with long duration.

Originally tasted at Chateau Montelena and had to come home with this bottle. Absolutely fantastic wine. Not pairing with anything, just purely enjoying as a birthday gift to myself.
