Saturday, May 12, 2012 - Last bottle finished off last night with cigars following a big dinner of grilled elk tenderloin with good friends. Unbelievably good, I highly recommend this but given the price point this port wine does not have a particularly good QPR despite it's excellence. Dark red, aromatic, full bodied with an unbelievably long aftertaste and a heady nose of blueberry, raisin and mocha and a primary flavor profile largely unchanged over these past 2 years of smooth and well balanced raisins, figs, mocha and chocolate and a hint of vanilla developing on the long pleasant aftertaste. I will definitely be looking for more of this, although slightly heavier and darker then the 40 year NV the two ports are really quite equivalent.
