Saturday, April 6, 2024 - Pale gold color. Rich nose of grapefruit and lemon. Rich and crisp on the palate, lemons, minerals, grapefruit, hint of sharp spice. The grapefruit softens with just a bit of air. I'd suggest letting this sit open for 60 minutes (unless grapefruit is your thing) or even better, decant it. The grapefruit was much less pronounced (and the wine was better for it) on Day 2. Lovely acidity, great balance. Finishes long, gradual and surprisingly elegant. A lovely and refreshing wine. Hard to miss its NZ origins! Drink next 4 years.
