Friday, July 30, 2010 - Refreshing Summer Wines (Our House, CA): Unoaked but I would not have guessed it if tasted blind. Nose of bold fruit with flavors approaching the oak and butter levels you would expect of some oaked chardonnay, but definitely not as much as the Ventana '06 Gold Chardonnay in side by side tasting. Maybe a little bit too acidic, especially in the after taste. Interesting drinking experience. Very good wine.
