Friday, May 28, 2010 - 8 Grand Echezeaux, Leflaive, 63/83 Fonseca, 1885 Blandy's: Ruby/purple. The nose is earthy with cherries. On the palate, cherries. this wine is so tightly layered. It has an underlying complexity but it will take a few years to begin to unravel. Great texture with a nice backbone of acidity. Long finish. Another one whose best days need to be on the other side of some cellaring.
