90 Points

Sunday, January 3, 2010 - Opened this due to some ok reviews of late...my cost was around $20, not $20+ so perhaps my view is different, surely provenance is different for all of us...comparing this wine to Terrasses is odd in that the blends are very, very different...the nose begins drenched in leather, garrigue, crazy spiciness, dark red fruits...juicy, bright acidity, sweet fruit, garrigue, fine dusty tannin, plenty of earth and complex nuance varying from earth, to dust, sweet dusty fruit. While this wine isn't as slutty as it had been in the last 2 years, it certainly offers some complexity that I find compelling. Delicious. This wine has made the move from fun running youth to middle-aged giver. Decanting not needed.
