Tuesday, June 16, 2015 - This was a bit tight at first but blossomed considerably after an hour. A nose of coffee, blueberries, some caramel and floral elements is followed on the attack by a perception of moderate sweetness (probably the 15.5% ABV), with an added note of cocoa. The style is modern and forward, but decent acidity provides a sense of balance that should give the wine fairly broad appeal. Tannins are partly resolved and do not impede enjoyment, but are still sufficiently perceptible to suggest this wine needs another few years to reach its peak.

(this bottle was purchased last year at Lavinia Paris which in turn had acquired it earlier the same year directly from the domaine, according to a back label)
