Sunday, September 4, 2011 - Dark purple color. Big nose at first of dark fruit, black pepper and a lot of oak but it eventually mellowed out a bit as it opened up. Not overly complex but hits all the right points for a Cali syrah. Dark black/blue fruit, pepper, a little smoke and some vanilla oak flavors on the back end. Strong acid keeps it interesting though. Nice syrah but not a good qpr at the price I paid.
