Tuesday, April 2, 2024 - During the Grands Jour de Bourgogne walkabout tasting, no detailed notes. The cult producer Liger-Belair showed a terrific line-up today. The wines were precise, full of tension, brimming with complex aromas on par with Bizot, Naudin and Ceclie Tremblay, the other over-achievers of the show. TN: The VSR Colombiere (94pt) and Clos du Chateau (94+pt) showed attractive cherry with cinnamon spice and farmyard funk. The VSR Reignots (97pt) and Echezeaux (96pt) took it a few notches up in aromatic depth, the Ech being by far the most structured wine, do not touch that one until 2035 if you are lucky to have it in your cellar.
