Tuesday, March 12, 2024 - Over the weekend Lettie Teague in the WSJ wrote about the Costco wines: specifically about the winemakers behind the wines and their sources of fruit. So on Monday, I popped in to pick up a couple of things and also grabbed this bottle. Very reasonable price, I think it was $13.

Opened not decanted: light maroon in color with 1/8th inch clarity at the edge of the glass; lush fruit of plums and raspberries; medium weight in body that morphs to flabbiness and lack of structure. After about 15 minutes of air the finish starts to dry out showing heat. Fair. A good bottle to serve to non winos or at a gallery opening.
