90 Points

Friday, August 11, 2006 - Ruby red color with a slight lightening towards orange at the rim. The nose offers a healthy dose of garrigue complimented by pepper, crushed stones, and saddle leather. In the mouth it is very concentrated, and has a strong minerality coupled with black fruit, licorice, and cherry liquor. Well balanced. Tannins are well integrated, and the finish is very nice. I have been buying these since 1995, and this is one of the best Coudoulet de Beaucastel I have had.
