Sunday, September 18, 2011 - In line with my previous tastenote. "New world Chardonnay on steroids. Deep yellow color with a surprisingly weak nose. Difficult to actually pick up any specific Chardonnay character. Opened up after some time but still very subdued. Full bodied with lots of creamy, buttery texture and very potent alcohol (14,5%). Distinct oak and acidity. Although strong flavors and very concentrated, the wine is balanced. A fantastic wine but nothing to have on its own. Definitely need food and more tasty things than shellfish."
