Sunday, June 21, 2015 - A tiny bit of Brett but that quickly blows off (but I am one who likes Brett in moderation) revealing some raspberry, cassis, and plenty of earth. On the palate? This gets a Whoa, and maybe more (3?). Cinnamon and spice with red berry fruit. Finish? Fantastic. thedrunkencyclist.com

6/22/2015 2:43:00 PM - Buzzzzoff, depending on your personal preferences but this wine is perfectly ready now, as DC and many others TNs indicate, with a perspective of a plenty life of at least five years for a vintage as 2006 is.

6/22/2015 3:08:00 PM - It was really tasting well the other night, but it could go quite a bit longer, depending on what you like most in your wine. By no means a "fruity" wine, but there is plenty of fruit left now. I tend to like to wait for the fruit to fade and have the secondary flavors come in, but that is just me. If you prefer fruit, drink sooner, if you like more leathery, earthy notes, you could wait another five years (or more) pretty easily....

6/22/2015 5:32:00 PM - Thanks for the comments. We like tasting the evolution of wines, which is why we often open a little "young" and then a little "late". As you say, it is a matter of preference. Sadly we only have one bottle of this drop. Unusual for us, but we will have to suffer ;-)
