Friday, September 2, 2011 - An absolutely gorgeous wine, probably one of my favorite California Syrahs. Plenty of dark blackberry and blueberry fruit with notes of spice, vanilla, and smoke. Opaque, deep purple with a full bodied texture. This wine will blow you away: complex, elegant, and very approachable. This is the fifth of six bottles that I purchased in 2009, I only wish I had bought a case! I usually decant for 30 mins to an hour, and it opens very quickly. Provides a nice balanced finish; refined tannins.
