Tuesday, June 23, 2015 - Dark almandine garnet with a more ruby core. Nose: beautifully perfumed, with violet, gently oxidized sour cherry, freshly baked golden cookies and a very appealing human/sexy sourly meaty note. Plus spiced wood and pencil shavings. Palate: delightfully juicy. High acidity, medium tannin, short to moderate length. Not a lot of fruit but not suffering from it at all. This is not a heavy hitter but it is exceptionally refreshing, gorgeously balanced and in very good condition. Gentle and seductive. My kind of wine. I doubt anyone else would rate this as highly as I do. £50.
