Tuesday, November 13, 2007 - Impressive nose of vanilla oak at first, definite tobacco notes as well. Thinner on the palate, and the sweetness of the oak dominates. Tannins and acidity began to imbue balance as it opens. There is elegance, but it could use a few more years to integrate. Thinness on the midpalate is the main weakess, along with what seems like too much oaky sweetness.
