Friday, March 23, 2012 - Moderate ruby with browner tones. Very seductive aromas of cherry, earth, and high char wood. Ripe, sappy red fruit that stops short of sweetness with some anise and soil. The wood is so well integrated that it does not evoke my usual objections. This may well be at Grand Cru level, although its acidity could be brisker for a perfect degree of snap to accompany its tremendous depth. Outstanding nonetheless.
