Saturday, August 18, 2018 - recent acquisition. PNP. color ruby with slightest bricking edges. cork leaked a little which worried me about provenance. nose dominated by sous bois and cherry. swishing shows high tone acid and also tannin, but the fruit prevents this from being stringent. sipping this shows high gloss cherry fruit with considerable length. if there was some heat damage this must have been mind blowing, because it is pretty damned good. i think that this is in its drinking window but there is fuel in the tank too.
