Veeder style, but the wine was light to medium in both color and palate. On the palate, this wine did not disappoint - flowers, strawberry, cherry, smoke, tobacco. On the nose...balance - fruit and all those wonderful smokey aromas given by the oak. Very well balanced with lighter tannins. This could stay in the bottle much longer but was good now. I don't feel that the price to quality ratio justified it's high price and I expected a little more from such an expensive producer. We have too many optioins to pay $90+ for a wine that is very good, but don't make your eyes roll back in your head.
