Friday, February 12, 2010 - Deep crimson red with purple hues. The wine's viscosity slowly runs back down to the side of the glass indicates that this is an high octane wine, and truly it is at massive 15.5% Alc by vol. Nose of ripe berries, spice and licorice. Soft on the palate, with sweet dark fruits, cedar notes and lots of spiciness. Medium bodied, silky mouth feel and long spicy finishing. Pretty soft tannins and this wine is ready to enjoy now. Offer very good QPR and reflects true characteristic of cool climate Shiraz. Best to enjoy slowly thought it still lacks of some elegant character.
