Sunday, April 11, 2010 - Dark color. Cork was being pushed out a little, so I was nervous. But if this bottle was flawed, the next should be spectacular. Nose of blackberry, cassis and a bit of raspberry syrup. Strong oak, but mellowed after about 30 minutes. A touch of dusty leather and a slight herbal note (eucalyptus?), so this was definitely too young to drink. Great mouthfeel. Sweet, meaty tannins; softened acid and long finish. Sweet, viscous raspberry showed as it came to room temp, with a later note of oak.
