Wednesday, December 7, 2011 - Garnet and noticeable edge thinning with medium viscosity in the glass. Black fruit, bramble, currant, pepper and cocoa powder and on the nose. Secondary coffee, black cherry skin and plum. Medium-full body with black fruit, coffee and chocolate on the palate. Secondary pepper, stewed tomato and singed tobacco. Meaty mouthfeel with grippy tannin…chalky around the mouth and creamy coconut on the tongue. Pepper and herbs kick in on the back. Med-long finish. Integration and nuance showed after opening for hours.
