Saturday, December 12, 2015 - I like Salon. It's my favorite Champagne, but I do not get any sense of value in the 1997. Medium bodied, fresh, mineral driven, sweet citrus fruits, with an intriguing hint of raspberry, brioche and nuts, the wine is creamy and refined, but not exciting. It's not even close to the sublime 1996.
