Sunday, October 21, 2012 - Huge nose on this, dark cherry, blackberry, vanilla, menthol, rosemary dark chocolate. Very powerful aromas. Medium weighted, flavors of chocolate covered red fruit, dry earth, dark chocolate, tobacco. The high abv% shows in the mid-palate, overtaking the flavors for a small amount of time. The finish is long, dark fruits with a dark chocolate edge. Delicious wine overall, well-made and balanced, just a bit hot.
