93 Points

Saturday, March 19, 2011 - Popped and poured. Classic Hermitage blanc with depth and body but also still enough acidity to prevent the wine from being ponderous. Classic nose of wax and almonds, and lovely on the palate. Persisted very well over a couple of hours and seemingly at its apex, in no rush to drink up. Consumed along with the 96 and 98; clearly superior to the former and softer and more complex but with less tension than the latter. Excellent showing.
