Friday, July 24, 2020 - I really liked this wine - not necessarily because of the taste, but because it portrayed a certain event in history. One wonders what influenced Concha y Toro to make a Cab like this. Was it Bordeaux? Was it the vintage? Was it something unrelated to the previous? Definitely a wine to think about. Ligther than many old Cabs I’ve tried (12.5% abv). Fully developed all the way, no potential ahead. The wine is overall soft and mellow, with a slightly dense and long finish. Acid is resolved, but still keeping the wine intact. Definitely drink this if you have it, it’s holding on to strings.
