Sunday, October 20, 2013 - A very dark ruby color with a youthful purple still lingering just beneath. Textbook CdP nose of dark berries, cherries, flowers, pepper, smoke and licorice. In the mouth, moderately large but not overdone or overripe and nice depth to the fruit and herb flavors. Real concentration here, with long slightly bitter finish and moderate tannins. Nice persistence and grip. This is a young and complete wine just beginning to drink well. I bet it has a long and great future. 95+ points, with room to grow.
