Friday, April 21, 2017 - Very big and opulent wine. Tasted blind and nose was reminiscent of a California pinot. I got alot of ripe red fruit, oak, and a touch of heat. However palate lost me (Probably my lack of experience w/ cdp). Pnp, mistake #1. This wine NEEDS a good decant. After a few hrs really started to open up. Dark fruit, a touch meaty, and decent acid. Solid Cdp, would hold for now and decant if opened soon. 92-93+

Day 2: Wow! What a difference, licorice, anise, dark fruit. Still agree with my initial assessment that this needs more time.
