Thursday, March 22, 2012 - Garnet in color and much darker than I would have expected. Mature Rioja nose. Not a ton of fruit, dusty tobacco, cherry, some vanilla and oak. The palate has mostly red fruit with raspberry and tart cherry. Not a lot of a middle with the oak really coming in on the back.
