Thursday, January 4, 2024 - Quick 30 minutes decant. Deep ruby red. The nose is of medium intensity showing darker red fruit, morello cherry, tar, licorice, earthy and gamey notes. On the palate, it is quite bold and extractive, tannin and acidity prevail over the fruit. Good structure. Oak is well integrated. Medium finish. If blind, would take it as an old-school Barolo/Barbaresco.
