Monday, October 29, 2012 - Was impressed with this one in its youth and thought it may have aging potential. This has lot the freshness of its youth but hasn't acquired any particularly interesting secondary flavors, so it doesn't appear to be aging well (I also noticed that it has been filtered - no sediment - which probably didn't help). It's still very drinkable though and was a hit with the others I served it to. It had a pleasant nose of blackcurrant jam and chicory with no high notes. Mouth of prunes with a touch of bitterness. Coffee and charcoal with some plums on a long finish of 90 seconds.
