91 Points

Sunday, October 19, 2014 - The nose was sweet, spicy and seductive, with aromas of blueberry sauce, plum, dark chocolate, and a dusting of autumnal spice. It splashed against the palate like a wave of silk with ripe blackberry, blueberry skins and a hint of licorice. The finish was long, long, long with black fruit and an attractive bitter twang, yet a hint of heat detracted ever so slightly from experience. It’s a big wine, yet still finessed in the Carlisle style.
