Thursday, October 9, 2008 - Beautiful colour, full of flavour but not heady. Very clear, good acidity, some good structure makes me think a couple more years wouldn't harm it. Paired extremely well with duck with port, cherry & plum sauce. Wine itself is sour cherries, a little plum (like the food!), very well balanced. 13.5% alcohol doesn't show through, which I love. Very drinkable, very tasty and a steal for good Burgundy at £16. Maybe not to everybody's taste, especially if you like massive reds, but this isn't too delicate either.
