Saturday, August 15, 2020 - Drank decanted at restaurant; opened up after an hour. To the nose, dark fruit and smoke. On the palate, black cherry and blackberry. White pepper equal to black pepper as primary spices. Tannins in silky threads providing adequate support. Smoke dissipates to under half upon opening up. An interesting "fluffy band" or "soft ribbon" runs through it from midlength to finish. Medium mouthful and length as expected. Paired well with filet mignon and NY strip.
