Tuesday, January 12, 2016 - Perfectly good Spatlese. At this stage, no petrol on the nose. More in the rocky, mineral arean with green apples, tropical melon, yellow plum, and great acid. Sweet attack and then the golden raisin carries the palate. Pure fruit! This wine is only in about 2nd gear, and has LOTS of life left. Happy to have more of this in the cellar. I wish it had a little more balance, and complexity that is keeping my assessment score down.
