We had it with bbq and one of our friends observed that he couldn't tell when the spiciness of the sauce stopped and the wine started, calling it a "seamless" pairing. And it was. Only flaw is a touch of heat, but --at 14.5% abv-- this is practically restrained for the genre. Seems likely that this would improve with another year or two in bottle, too. 90+.
