Saturday, January 10, 2009 - I'll be the first to say that I'm not the biggest zinfandel fan, so my rating is probably reflective of that rather than a true impression of this wine vs other zinfandels. Hits you over the head with oak, vanilla and spice upon opening. Jammy, stewed red fruits with more spice. A nice pairing with BBQ, but not something I would choose to drink on a regular basis.
