Tuesday, December 22, 2009 - Popped and poured. Clear dark red, no signs of browning. Initially on the nose quite complex, notes of leather and spice. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, perhaps more Old World than New in taste profile. Definitely a chocolatey note on the palate, which evolves into something almost like truffles. Tannins are present but well submerged in the fruit. Lovely wine which may become more seamless with further aging but no need to wait.
