Wednesday, October 5, 2011 - Yellow straw with the merest hint of a green tinge. In the first glass, lots of bubbles lingering round the bottom of the glass, but not present on subsequent pours. Peaches, struck match sulphur, gassy mercaptans and maybe a hint of butterscotch on the nose. On the palate, the immediate impression is of a full-on really quite sweet riesling. I was expecting it to develop from that in the mouth, but it doesn't really. Some minerality and lots of acidity.
This needs locking away for at least 5-10 years.
