Medium bodied on the palate - attractively rich and complex - combination of sweet, savoury red fruit , licquorice and spice - with lovely fresh contrasting acidity. Some rustic tannins shorten the finish and betray it's relatively humble origins but nevertheless very good indeed, and with plenty of life still.
