Tuesday, February 2, 2021 - Closing in on 60, yet still fresh and very much alive. If the 66 is Mr. Hyde then 62 is Dr. Jekyll. Elegant with fine grained tannins and round, supple textures this is textbook Latour. Don’t be blinded by the 61 vintage as this is a much more practical, yet still delicious, alternative to its legendary predecessor. A brilliant mature Latour showcasing violets, graphite, cedar, tobacco, Asian spices, cassis + black currant. At peak now, but should hold there for another 10-15 years.
